Move Out Project is an entirely volunteer-run initiative. We operate on a very small budget, currently funded by textbooks that we’re able to re-sell and a small grant that we received through the Sierra Club. Because we’re an official project of the Susquehanna Group of the Sierra Club, which is a non-profit 501(c)4 organization, we are limited in our ability to receive traditional grant funding.
We keep our expenses to a minimum, but need funds for the following:
- U-Haul rental & fuel costs
- Equipment (tables, moving equipment such as dollies and hand-trucks, etc.)
- Flyers & other marketing materials
- Miscellaneous project materials (packing tape, scales to track donations, markers, etc.)
A donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated and go a long way toward our mission of diverting usable items from the landfill and donating them back into the community.
